Tim
Born in the small town of Saratoga, NC, Tim Skinner started with Coastal Beverage over thirty years ago in 1988—working as a utility swing delivery guy in the warehouse. He was first attracted to the brand because of friends who worked for CBC and always spoke so highly of the company.
Since those early days, Tim has worked his way through many jobs and promotions at Coastal, developing skills and enjoying the encouraging work environment. “It’s a dynamic business—not boring. It’s always a challenge, and since I’m a problem solver, I love this! CBC gives us the freedom to grow within a family-like culture.”
Tim loves the people at CBC best. He knows he can always walk into someone’s office and feel welcome. “They ask about family, my work, and how they can help me succeed. Clark Moore, in particular, mentored me well. He looked out for me, reigned me back in, guiding me every step of the way. Before he retired, he would say to me, ‘Every day you choose to make your day good or bad. It’s your choice. You can’t choose how people treat you, but you can choose how you react.’”
The respect and love between Tim and Coastal Beverage are mutual. “One day I got a phone call from the company, awarding me a vacation package worth $5,000 because of my work with the company for such a long time. We’re planning a family reunion at the beach—sand and sun!—and it’s pretty special. In all my years with CBC, it’s never once felt like a job.”
