We recently installed solar panels at our Pollocksville location here in eastern North Carolina, and the benefits are already shining!
In 2012, the average annual electricity consumption for a US residential utility customer was 10,837 kWh. April was our first full month using the new panels for energy, and we saved over 44,000 kWh in one month. That’s enough energy to run 4 American homes for a year!
With these new solar panels, over 190 pounds of carbon were saved from entering the atmosphere.
Our goal is long-term success in the beverage business, and working toward that goal means continuously improving. We also want to be self-reflective and accountable for our actions, whether they be providing fresh, quality products or improving our relationship with the environment.
