John

CBC found John when he was working with Allied in Pollocksville, NC, before the company became part of CBC. “I was a warehouse worker at the time and loaded and unloaded trucks,” John shares. “When CBC bought Allied, I had already been in the industry for around ten years. My job has always been to do a little bit of everything. But when CBC showed up, they were awesome—the type of guys who got out there and did what needed to be done. They inspired me to stick around and learn from them, and I am so glad I did.”

“I have a favorite CBC memory,” John shares. “Two or three of us in Pollocksville were all celebrating our tenth anniversary with the company. Tee and Tuney drove all the way down to Pollocksville to have a special dinner with us. It meant so much to me that they would take the time to do that. You just don’t find people anymore who care about their employees like that. It was so sweet, and I will never, ever forget it. It has been a great ride.”

Now, John has spent nearly two decades with CBC. He says he’s like a poster on the wall—he’s here to stay. “I unload trucks, I build and receive transfers, load, replenish, complete keg counts—anything I can do, I put my hand in it. I don’t shy away from work.” And he continues to learn from various employees—people John says he respects—go-getters who are all about getting the job done and looking out for the company’s best interest. “But my wife is truly my biggest inspiration,” he says. “I’m not easy going, but she’s stuck with me, and I’m grateful for her.”
