Employed at a Chevy parts dealership, David used to hear his roommate’s stories about work at CBC. The more he listened, the more he realized the beer business was a fun environment to be a part of. He applied, and his first Coastal job as a sales route driver has now been his only job—for over 25 years.
David has always looked up to his dad as one of his greatest life mentors. “He always told me to do it right the first time, so I wouldn’t have to do it again.” Now, David often finds himself mentoring some younger Coastal Crew members, telling them to hang in there, to learn things well, and to do the best job they can.
In his long tenure with the company, David has gained appreciation for multiple aspects of CBC business life: the way CBC has helped the community during recent hurricanes, and Tee’s willingness to work through all the roles in the company alongside David and his colleagues as they learned the ropes. “I’ve stayed with CBC for so long because I love my job. I love the people I work with, I love the long-term relationships I have developed with my customers, and I have loved watching the growth of Coastal over the years. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.”
