DIESEL TECHNICAN
Job Summary:
Responsible for diagnosing and repairing all diesel equipment. Schedules and performs preventative maintenance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical and electrical repair, Uses laptop based software to extract diagnostic trouble codes and repair. Uses web based systems to access and follow diagnostic guides. Estimates materials and labor and determines priority of work to be done.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must maintain a good driving record both on and off the job and must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the company.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; must have 3-5 years experience in heavy diesel repair including: electrical diagnostics and repair, heavy engine repair and overhaul, air brake diagnostics and repair; must be familiar with computer diagnostic equipment; Diesel certifications a plus; must have a valid CDL A.
